What You Need to Make Strawberry Champagne Margaritas

  • Fresh strawberries:  Use ripe, juicy strawberries for the best flavor.
  • Tequila: We recommend using silver or blanco tequila for this recipe.
  • Fresh lime juice: Lime juice adds the perfect tanginess to balance out the sweetness of the strawberries and champagne.
  • Champagne: Any type of champagne will work in this recipe. Choose your fave!
  • Optional ingredients: Feel free to add triple sec or agave syrup to your cocktail for added sweetness.
  • Muddler: You’ll need a muddler to muddle the strawberries into a puree.
  • Cocktail shaker: A cocktail shaker makes it easy to mix and chill your ingredients for optimal flavor.

What can I use instead of champagne?

Don’t have any champagne? Prosecco or a white sparkling wine will work, too.

Can I turn this into a frozen margarita?

Want to make it a frozen drink? Blend your margarita mixture with ice for a slushy version.

I like it spicy, can I add jalapeños?

Which champagne goes well with strawberries?

We suggest using demi-sec for this cocktail. Its sweet taste pairs perfectly with the strawberries and tequila.

Can I make this margarita ahead of time?

Yes, you can! Make a large batch of the margarita mixture (without adding champagne) and store it in the fridge. When ready to serve, add champagne to each individual glass for optimal bubbly goodness.

Can I use frozen strawberries?

Yes, you can use frozen strawberries for this recipe. Just let them thaw before muddling and using in the cocktail.
