A pie doesn’t only have to be sweet. Today we have something for those who prefer to reach for the tried and tested combination of onion and ham instead of fruit and chocolate. The preparation of the dough is as easy as can be, there’s no rising involved, so it’s really a breeze. Then all you have to do is garnish it and bake.

Ingredients for the dough:

Ingredients for the topping:

  • 150 g sour cream
  • 140 g non-fat Greek yoghurt
  • 80 g quality ham
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 bunch of spring onion
  • ground black pepper to taste
  • salt to taste

Method:

Start by mixing the flour and salt, add the water and oil and work into a smooth, non-sticky dough, letting it rest before mixing in the other ingredients. Cut the ham into cubes, peel the onion, cut into crescents and mix the cream with the yoghurt, salt and pepper.

Take a rolling pin, powder it with flour and roll out the dough thinly with it. Then transfer it to a baking sheet that you have previously sprayed with oil spray. Spread the yoghurt and sour cream over the dough and top with the ham and onion.
