If beef burgers aren’t among your favourites, then this salmon version is sure to hit the spot. This delicious fish burger with onions is as simple as it gets to prepare. Then all you have to do is decide how you want to serve it. You can put it in a classic bun or top it with just a light salad and you have a great low-carb meal.
Ingredients:
- 360 g (3 cans) salmon
- 50 g breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 handful of fresh dill
- 1 spring onion
- ground black pepper to taste
- salt to taste
- lemon juice to taste

Method:
Drain the brine from the canned salmon and use a fork to shred it into smaller pieces. Then add mustard, egg, black pepper to taste, salt, finely chopped dill, spring onion and lemon juice to taste. Mix everything thoroughly and finally stir in the breadcrumbs.
With moistened hands, form the mixture into patties and fry them in a pan with oil or on a contact grill. When done, you can start serving.
Slice the buns, spread both halves with ZERO barbecue sauce, place a lettuce leaf on top, prepared salmon meat, place fresh or pickled onion rings on top and cover with the top of the bun. Then you can serve.
