Today we have prepared something for all you lovers of desserts with fruit. This combination of soft protein dough with apples tastes simply amazing. Plus, the slices have a balanced macronutrient ratio, so they’re great not only with coffee, but also as part of a snack or breakfast.

Preparation:

Start by preparing the dough. In a larger bowl, mix all the dry ingredients, i.e. flour, protein, erythritol and baking powder. Add the melted and cooled ghee, eggs and milk. Then work into a smooth and non-sticky dough with your hands. If it becomes too sticky, sprinkle a little flour over it. If it crumbles, add a little more milk. Put the dough in the fridge to stand for about 15 minutes. In the meantime, prepare the apple filling.

Peel and coarsely grate all the apples . Let them sit aside for a while and then squeeze out any excess juice. Then add the protein and cinnamon and mix thoroughly. Take the dough out of the fridge, divide it into two halves and gradually roll out a rectangular cake the size of the tin. Ours was 25×30 cm.

Line the bottom of the tin with baking paper, then place one rectangle of dough on it and press it into the edges.

Spread the prepared apples evenly over the dough.

Then cover with the second half of the dough, and press it down around the edges. When the cake is ready, put it in a preheated oven at 180°C and bake until golden brown for 35-40 minutes. After baking, allow to cool, ideally until the next day, and then serve.
