Chicken cake is a versatile dish that is great as part of lunch or dinner, but can be eaten as a snack on the go, for example while in the mountains. Its preparation is as easy as can be… and anyone can do it. If you serve it at home, vegetables and potatoes are perfect alongside it. On the go, you can supplement it with bread and a balanced meal is ready.
You’ll need:
- 1 kg chicken breast
- 100 g hard 30% cheese
- 5 eggs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- handful of fresh chives

Clean the chicken breasts, cut into smaller strips, salt, pepper and drizzle with a tablespoon of olive oil. Whisk the eggs, salt and pepper to taste, add a handful of fresh chives and 50 g of grated hard cheese.
Line the cake tin with baking paper and layer the chicken pieces on the bottom and around the edges. Pour the whisked egg on top, sprinkle with the rest of the cheese and top with the remaining meat.
Put the prepared cake in an oven preheated to 180°C and bake for about an hour. When done, let it cool for a little while and then serve.
