What to prepare for breakfast? If porridge is your classic, try a change this time and replace the oatmeal with rice. Although it takes a little longer to prepare, we guarantee that the result is worth it. The creamy rice with vanilla flavour doesn’t lack in protein either. And if you top it off with raspberries, you have the perfect breakfast.

Method:

Rinse the jasmine rice under running water to remove excess starch. Bring 300 ml of water to a boil in a saucepan. Then add the rice and cook over a medium heat until the rice has absorbed almost all the water. This will take approximately 10-15 minutes.

Milk rice with raspberries and protein - preparation of rice

When most of the water has been absorbed into the rice, add 150 ml of low-fat milk. Stir well, reduce the heat on the stove and let it cook until the milk is absorbed into the rice. Stir occasionally to prevent burning. This will take approximately another 10-15 minutes. When done, pour in agave syrup and vanilla flavor drops to taste. Then add the protein as well and mix everything thoroughly so no lumps form. If the mixture seems too thick, add water or milk.

Next, put the frozen raspberries in a pan with the vanilla flavor drops and cook them. The rice pudding can be served warm or cold depending on preference. Pour the raspberry sauce over the rice before serving.

Our tip: You can also prepare the rice pudding in a packed box and have a ready-made breakfast or snack for the next day.
